The Aspects® #438 Gem Anti-Insect Kit is a great little upgrade for The Gem Window Hummingbird Feeder. It combines two types of insect protection in one kit — a wrap-around ant moat to help stop crawling ants and Nectar Guard Tips to help prevent bees, wasps and other flying insects from reaching the nectar.

Wrap-Around Ant Moat
The clear ant moat is designed specifically to fit The Gem feeder. Once installed and filled with water, it creates a barrier that helps prevent ants from reaching the nectar.
Because the moat is clear, it blends nicely with the feeder and doesn't take away from The Gem's clean, compact design.
Nectar Guard Tips
The included Nectar Guard Tips install underneath the feeding ports. Each tip has a soft, flexible membrane that opens when a hummingbird inserts its bill to feed and closes again when the bird pulls away.
Your hummingbirds can still reach the nectar while bees, wasps and other flying insects have a much harder time getting through the feeding ports.

Unlike a universal insect guard, the Aspects #438 Anti-Insect Kit is designed specifically for The Gem Window Hummingbird Feeder. The kit includes the components needed to add both ant and flying-insect protection while maintaining the feeder's original function.
